DA CYPHER STUDIOS
A Brooklyn, NYC based Creative collective striving to document and highlight stories told by and for Black and Brown people. Our team utilizes various mediums including animation, narrative film, documentary, photography, print, and digital experiences.
OUR WORK
We are a collective currently building our portfolio and looking to take on new projects.
Our work can be broken down into two categories: Projects and Cultural Artifacts.
Da Cypher Studios Projects are digital/media-based bodies of work that focuses on storytelling and documenting culture that centers Black youth. Our Cultural Artifacts are physical, print-based projects that act as a reference to our style of documentation in a creative way.
OUR VISION
We hope to break into the worlds of filmmaking and advertising through collective art and center our work around our community. In this upcoming year we will be taking on bigger client projects such as short films, music video production, and animations. In addition we will continue to build our portfolio by creating Da Cypher productions that represent the kind of imagery we want to see in the media.
JOIN DA CYPHER
Our Collective is open to Black & Brown creatives, designers, entrepreneurs, and techies. The Da Cypher Collective is building community through the arts and media by providing exposure via social media, a collaborative creative studio space, and both unpaid & paid opportunities to work on collaborative projects. By joining our collective, you are automatically added to our creative database.
As emerging creatives, we know how hard it is to find other creatives to work with on projects. We know how hard it is to source talent when building a team. In our efforts to alleviate that stress we created this initiative.
Our Creative Database is a tool geared towards building teams. It is a resource for people to find creatives across disciplines. Find your next videographer, graphic designer, stylist, models, and more via our database.

A weekly Instagram live stream series that gives our community members the #BTS[behind the scenes] look into Black and Brown creatives and entrepreneurs in their element.
Werk it Wednesday was created to provide a virtual open studio space that gives our featured collective member exposure, open feedback, and praises. This initiative also exposes our URL collective to emerging talent/businesses and it makes space for members who are thinking of pursuing a passion to ask questions in a low-stakes environment.

A weekly Instagram highlight that features 4-6 emerging Black and Brown creatives and entrepreneurs categorized by craft. This is our way of saying that "we see you. We see the work you're putting in."
